Emotional resilience isn't about not having emotions, or ignoring them - it's about being able to bounce back and recover when things don't go your way. When you're prone to letting outside influences affect your emotions, that's when you need to cultivate emotional resilience. If you don't you're at the whim of the randomness of the world.
